Emily Rose Uttley
Emily Rose Uttley is an artist based in Leeds who uses drawing, painting and digital illustration to portray her fascination with the depth, range and ambiguity of human emotion.
In 2021, she was awarded first prize for ArtWorks Together, an international arts competition organised by ArtWorks South Yorkshire, that was judged by a panel of 6 internationally recognised artists and curators and was featured on BBC Look North. Emily also featured on the judging panel for ArtWorks Together 2023.
In 2022, Emily created her first large scale commission for The University of Leeds, a 6m x 2m mural titled ‘Peace of Mind’, located in the Students Union. In 2020, she graduated from The University of Manchester with a degree in French Studies and History of Art and in 2016, she completed a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at Leeds Arts University, specialising in Fine Art.
